What equipment does DF Outdoors provide?

Dom provides the core equipment needed for the planned outing. Fishing trips include rods, bait, tackle, and life jackets. Ice-fishing trips include the necessary ice-fishing gear and guide equipment. Hunting trips include blinds and decoys when applicable, along with the basic guide equipment needed for the planned outing.

What should I bring?

Bring water, weather-appropriate clothing and footwear, and any personal items you need for the day. You are welcome to bring favorite rods or sonar units. For hunting trips, Dom will confirm any personal equipment you should bring when the trip is planned.

Do I need a Wisconsin fishing or hunting license?

Yes. Each client must have the correct Wisconsin fishing or hunting license for the activity before the trip begins.

Are children and beginners welcome?

Yes. Trips can be tailored for children, first-timers, experienced outdoorsmen, families, and groups. Dom adjusts the plan, pace, and instruction to the people on the trip.

Booking and trip details

How long are trips?

Standard trips are approximately 8 hours. Final timing is confirmed when the trip is scheduled.

How many guests can come?

Open-water fishing trips can accommodate up to 4 guests, plus Dom. Larger ice-fishing groups may be accommodated; include your group size in the booking request so Dom can confirm the setup.

Does Dom clean the fish?

Yes. Fish cleaning is available for an additional $1 per fish.

How and when are payments due?

Pricing is provided after the request is reviewed. A $100 nonrefundable deposit is required after the trip date is confirmed, and the remaining balance is due on the day of the trip.

What happens if the weather or conditions are unsafe?

Safety comes first. Trips affected by unsafe weather or conditions will be rescheduled.

Where does DF Outdoors guide?

DF Outdoors serves Eau Claire and locations within approximately 1.5 hours. The exact destination depends on the season, conditions, target species, and the trip you request.

What species can we target?

Fishing trips may target walleye, panfish, bass, catfish, sturgeon, muskie, and northern pike. Hunting trips are offered for deer and turkey. Availability depends on the season and current conditions.
